Sinopsis: Durante décadas, un submarino hundido en la bahía de Málaga guardócelosamente todos sus secretos. Hasta que un día a finales de los añosnoventa, el abogado Antonio Checa sigue el rastro de unas burbujas de gasóleoy localiza los restos del C 3, un submarino republicano que yacía en elfondo del mar desde los primeros meses de la Guerra Civil española. Unhistoriador americano, Willard Frank, descifra en los archivos alemanesla clave de una misión de la Marina nazi que había logrado permanecer enabsoluto secreto: la Operación Úrsula. La reconstrucción del momento políticoen el que se desenvolvió aquella misión y el papel que jugaba el C-3 enel mapa estratégico de nuestro conflicto civil, nos conducen a un relatoapasionante repleto de personajes extraordinarios.Checa, a local lawyer, discovered some oily bubbles coming fromthe bottom of the sea and found out its source: the wreck of the C-3, aSpanish Republican submarine, was lying in the seabed near the Costa delSol beaches since the beginning of the Spanish Civil War (1936). In themeantime, Willard Frank, an American historian acknowledged as the mainexpert in naval operations of such event, had been researching in archivesworld-wide following the track of a mission successfully kept in totalsecrecy by the Kriegsmarine, the German Nazi Navy, since 1936: the OperationUrsula. Witnesses, historians, veterans of the Spanish and German navies,support the research of Frank and Checa to reveal the truth of this submergedstory: the first combat mission of Hitler’s Navy, a rehearsal in Spanishwaters of the u-boots that would soon become famous in World War II. And,above all of them, with their untouched memories, the relatives of those37 crewmembers who “disappeared” on December 12th 1936 and whose storywas never talked again… till now.
